Jack87 news today, Former Barcelona and Liverpool star Luis Suarez announced on Tuesday that he had reached a “preliminary agreement” to return to his first club’s national team three months before the World Cup in Qatar.

Striker Suarez, 35, left Atletico Madrid at the end of last season and is looking for a new club.

He is Uruguay’s all-time top scorer and will play in his fourth World Cup.

“First of all, I would like to thank you for the deep affection you have shown to me and my family over the past few days,” Suarez said in a video posted on his social media account.

That, he said, made “the possibility of rejecting a return to action for the national team impossible, and we have a preliminary agreement with the club.”

National president Jose Fuentes thanked fans for launching a massive social media campaign in an attempt to persuade Suarez to return.

“We still have to adjust some small details…(but) he will definitely arrive next week,” Fuentes said.

Suarez started his career with the national team, making his debut in May 2005 at the age of 18.

After a full season, he moved to Groningen in the Netherlands and then to Ajax a year later.

There, he caught the attention of Liverpool, and after three and a half seasons in England, he moved to Barcelona for more than 80 million euros.

Suarez was sent off for an intentional handball, but Uruguay survived the ensuing penalty kick before advancing on penalties.
