In March 2021, Para teqball was formally launched by the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ).

PTBSC 1, for athletes who must use crutches all the time, and PTBSC 2, for athletes using a prosthesis, are the two sport classifications.

FITEQ has also developed an inclusive doubles style where teams consist of one teqball player and one Para teqball player.
